What is the Managed Care Patient Assistance Program?

 

Created as part of the NC Patient’s Bill of Rights, the Managed Care Patient Assistance Program (or MCPA) provides education, advice, support and information for North Carolina health care consumers with health insurance issues.  In addition to providing basic information about how your health insurance works, or helping you interpret your Explanation of Benefits, we can provide direct assistance to consumers who want to appeal the denial of health care services by their health insurance company.
